Scope of Services and Availability
These terms apply to all services provided by The Canine Coach. All services are subject to availability. Service descriptions are an invitation to book and do not constitute a binding contract.

Bookings
A booking is only confirmed once full payment has been received. Confirmation will be emailed to the address provided; it is the client’s responsibility to ensure contact details are correct. Payment constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

Right to Decline Service
The Canine Coach may decline or cancel a booking at any time if a dog’s behaviour, health, or vaccination status poses a risk, or for any other professional reason.

Training Approach & Ethics
I use science‑backed, reward based training methods. Clients may be asked to leave without refund if punitive methods or prohibited equipment are used. This includes but is not limited to, chain collars, prong collars, electric collars and slip leads. Equipment used must be safe and well fitted.

Data Protection & Media Use
Client information is securely stored in accordance with GDPR. Photos/video may be taken during sessions; clients must opt out in writing if they do not consent.

Liability & Responsibility
Participation is at the client’s own risk. Clients are responsible for any damage or injury caused by their dog. The Canine Coach accepts no liability for damage to persons, dogs, vehicles, or property during or after training.  Your dog must be fit, healthy and free from contagious conditions when attending training. If a dog is found unwell on arrival, you may be asked to leave to protect others.

Vaccination Status
By attending, you confirm your dog is up to date with vaccinations or has titre test evidence as required.

Dog Bites & Legal Responsibilities
Responsibility for a dog’s behaviour remains with the owner at all times. The Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 (Section 3) applies to all services.

Right to Remove a Client
The Canine Coach may remove a client from any session for safety or welfare reasons. No refund will be issued in such cases.

Cancellations & Rescheduling
If a session must be postponed due to illness, emergency or extreme weather conditions, it will be rescheduled or moved online. Refunds are not provided. Missed group sessions are non-refundable. 1:1 sessions can be rescheduled with 3 days’ notice. 1:1 packages must be completed within the time frame stated on your invoice. Any unused sessions will be forfeited.

Children Attending
Children must be supervised at all times and remain seated or beside their adult. They must not approach other dogs without explicit permission.

Behaviour Disclaimer
All dogs attending group classes must be safe and comfortable around unfamiliar dogs and people. If your dog displays behaviours such as reactivity, aggression, or excessive fear that compromise safety or welfare, you may be removed from the session and advised to attend 1:1 training instead. No refund will be issued.

Training Outcome Disclaimer
Training results depend on the dog, environment, and client consistency. No outcome is guaranteed.

General Conditions
• Bitches in season cannot attend indoor sessions with male dogs. If your bitch comes into season after a booking has been made, this booking will be transferred to the next available session. It is your responsibility to notify The Canine Coach immediately if your bitch comes into season.
• Classes may be outdoors; please wear appropriate clothing and make suitable provision for the comfort and welfare of your dog.
• Owners must bring safe, appropriate equipment.
• Dogs remain on lead unless instructed.
• Owners must clean up after their dog.
