Sarah and Maggie the Working Cocker Spaniel
"We originally contacted Heather regarding some behavioural issues we were experiencing with our 18-month-old working cocker Maggie, specifically increased reactivity to noises and guests to our home, which developed during the adolescent phase. We initially chatted through the issues we were having over the phone with Heather, at which point we were really at a loose end as to how to help Maggie work through these issues, and we signed up for the 5 hour 121 training package which took place at our home. It’s hard to believe what we’ve learned in only 5 hours and the progress we’ve made! It was clear from our initial phone call that Heather had a lot of experience in reactivity around the home and she understood exactly what we were looking for. Heather is also extremely knowledgeable about spaniels in particular, as a spaniel owner herself. Heather provided invaluable advice and training tips aimed at helping Maggie feel safe and confident, which have undoubtedly helped reduce reactivity significantly in just a few weeks. Heather only uses positive reinforcement techniques and always keeps the sessions fun, and we could tell it was important to Heather to build a close bond with Maggie. Our sessions would always leave both us and Maggie feeling really positive."

It was amazing to see her nose go to work and to learn how to channel her natural sniffing skills.
